The Topeka PC Users Club (TPCUC), a non-profit organization, was established in 1987 and is still going strong because the membership is comprised of a group of highly dedicated individuals who gather to discuss and expand their knowledge of IBM Computers. Several of the members who started this club are still with us and they alone constitute 20 years of experience we can offer potential members.
Our Club is open to everyone who uses a computer either at home or at work regardless of their level of expertise. Especially welcome are those individuals who have purchased their first computer and find themselves in need of support. All of us were once beginners and we know how exasperating this time can be for you. Please feel free to check out what the Topeka PC Users Club has to offer you. Memberships are for one year from date of joining How to Join the Topeka PC Users Club | |
You may download a Club Brochure which includes an application or you are welcome to attend one of our Monthly Membership Meetings and register at that time. Message from the presidentAs I'm sure you have all heard by now, Topeka Google, Kansas is trying to entice Google to use Topeka as a test bed for a fiber to the home high speed internet connections. Our current ISPs would much rather compete with gimmicky marketing techniques than with real competition in services provided. ..." Our service is only half price on odd numbered Thursdays and even numbered Mondays." Throw in the fact that both our state and federal governments are deadlocked over the the really important stuff, and certainly couldn't concern themselves with our current world wide ranking in speed of internet connection to the end user,. (By some ranking sites, we're 28th.) and you begin to realize that Google may be our only way to break the gigabyte barrier.
There's a site at:

which has some suggestions and some links that will allow you to add your support to the effort. Every one should fill out this form http://www.snco.us/county/survey.asp
